What is Camp Quality?
Founded in Australia in 1983, and now
operating in more than 20 countries
worldwide, Camp Quality is an international
organization providing year-round support
for children undergoing treatment for
cancer and their families. Worldwide,
over 5,000 families participate in Camp
Quality programs each year. In Hong
Kong, a major fundraising ball was held
in May 1998, by the Rotary Club of Kowloon
North, to support the launch of Camp
Quality in Hong Kong.
Camp Quality takes children out of
the hospital environment and allows
them to enjoy themselves in an outdoor
environment where they can forget
about their illness. Adult volunteers
help to supervise the activities and
provide companionship for the children.
Each Camp is carefully planned to
provide a wide range of enjoyable
activities which will appeal to children
of all ages.
