The
Magic of Christmas
Camp Quality held it’s annual
Children’s Christmas Party,
which saw over 300 members come together
for a day of fun, excitement and celebration
at The Repulse Bay on Friday 22nd
December.
The event now in its 5th year is
the only activity on the Camp Quality
calendar that unites campers, companions,
volunteers, sponsors and donors.

Our Christmas Carnival is not only
for the children which we support,
but also a chance for our friends,
sponsors and donors to view first
hand the important work we do, allowing
them to see how we are helping to
improve the quality of lives of so
many children suffering from cancer
and their families through the support
of Camp Quality.

The Children's Christmas party is
like a big carnival with plenty of
fun and amusing games stalls, this
year it was organized by the rotary
interactors from the Ma Ko Pan Memorial
College, Tuen Mun and the Maryknoll
Convent School. We also had a wonderful
stage performance of a comedy musical
by patients from the Prince of Wales
hospital as well as some festive songs
to get everyone in the holiday spirits.
There were also plenty of exciting
arts and crafts stalls as well as
bouncy castles and plenty of food
and drink.
This year, we had not
just one but two very special guests
come and visit the children. Local
TVB celebrity Mr. Kenneth Ma (who
himself is very familiar with our
charity since a few years back, he
was actually a Camp Quality companion!)
came to surprise the children and
gave words of encouragement.
“To see the children forget
they have cancer, even if its just
for a little while is a wonderful
feeling and its wonderful to see them
again having the time of their lives”
Kenneth said.

Special arrangements were also made
for EEG’s Sun’Boyz to
come and entertain our kids by performing
some of their current hits and they
also gave away a copy of their latest
CD to delight of each camper.

Our annual party for the Camp Quality
children has been sponsored by The
Repulse Bay for the last five years
and it keeps on getting bigger and
bigger each year! Without the support
of Mr. Martyn Sawyer and his wonderful
team of staff at the Repulse Bay and
many other companies and private individuals
who help out at this annual event,
we would struggle to cater and find
an alternative venue for our annual
Children’s Christmas party.
On behalf of Camp Quality, our sincere
appreciation goes out to them - Thank
you!!
