Our Annual Appreciation Dinner for the companions this year was a rather special one for us - we were celebrating our 10th Anniversary so decided to put on something extra special for the companions this year. This event normally takes place around Chinese New Year but this year, Camp Quality decided to bring early Christmas cheer to some very special companions and medical volunteers by hosting this event in December.

Many of the companion volunteers who were invited to attend this special celebratory dinner have contributed significantly to Camp Quality during these past 10 years and their support has been invaluable and is much appreciated by the children and their families.

Special thanks were also given to Peter Ng and Dorothy Tong who have worked so hard to capture the spirit of Camp Quality in film these past 10 years by helping us produce an excellent film footage on our charity and the work we do…

To get everyone into the Latino mood, we were fortunate to have Chris and his trio band from Azucar Latina to offer to us some authentic latino music and we were also are very lucky to have two professional latino dancers coming to perform for us – Aidas and his beautiful wife Inesa who put on a spectacular dance performance and invited many of our budding dancers out there to join them afterwards for some latino dance lessons.

The companion of the year award is awarded by Camp Quality each year to recognize the voluntary work and support of an exceptional companion who have dedicated their time and efforts to the charity and to his/her camper…This year, Prof Yuen presented our Companion of the Year awards to Ms. Helen Chan for her exceptional dedication to her camper, Kam Chun Ki and Camp Quality and to Ms Choi Mei Ling for her long-term support of her camper, Chan Wing Sze.

December was also the birthday month of one of our founding members and honorary chairman, Prof. Yuen and the charity paid tribute and give him a big surprise birthday cake to Professor Patrick Yuen

The evening ended with our grand raffle draw, Camp Quality has been fortunate to have the support of many big sponsors who have donated many wonderful prizes for raffle draw and we would like to thank our sponsors for their generosity too in donating some of these amazing prizes – the companions were very happy with their prizes!
