Companion Annual Appreciation Dinner
2009 was another busy year for Camp Quality, The charity as always, is indebted to our companion volunteers for their loyalty, time and efforts. Thanks to them, and it’s with their support that we have been able to achieve the things we have in a tough economic climate last year.
Last Saturday, many of our dedicated companion’s volunteers joined us for an event which is especially organized for them – our Annual Companions Appreciation Dinner.
This year’s dinner was held at the new and exceptionally exquisite Marquee at The Repulse Bay.

A short video presentation of the year’s work was played at the start of the evening before our MC, Ms. Christine Ma opened the night by welcoming and thanking all our companions for their support.
Our companions were then treated to a very special culinary evening from Asian Countries and people that Hong Kong traded with in the good old days and the evening blended in tasty Asia dining experiences, exciting cultural performances and not to mention some very impressive South East Asian costumes.

Entertainment came in the form of a Japanese Drum extravaganza, followed by a more soothing Chinese classical trio and ending on a high note with an Indian Bollywood dance performance.

Prof. Yuen then took to the stage to offer an eloquent vote of thanks to Ray Gatt on behalf of the charity. Ray has made several generous financial donations to Camp Quality over the years and it was his first attendance at this companion’s event.

Special acknowledgement were paid to all companion volunteers and our appreciation went out to two special companions who were awarded “Companion of the Year” awards for sharing the valuable time and efforts and giving that bit extra support to their camper and to the charity.

The Grand Raffle was drawn and the evening ended in high spirits!
