Chime Long Paradise & Xiangjing Safari Park - Panyu

Getting bored of the usual places in Hong Kong? Camp Quality took a large group of 180 excited campers and companions for a special anniversary Easter camp to the renowned Chime Long Group Entertainment complex in Panyu on Saturday 12th April.

After disembarking from the Ferry Terminal at Lotus Hill Pier in Panyu, four-bus load of excited campers headed towards the Chime long Paradise Theme Park. The Park opened just two years ago and looked pretty amazing to everyone who was lucky to be able to join this particular camp. After checking out the map upon arrival, everyone agreed that it seemed to offer a lot more variety in terms of thrill rides, with some particular rides far more appealing than what was on offer at home!. All in all, it featured over 50 different facilities, including 4 of the best in Asia, the Guinness world record 10 inversion roller coaster from Intamin, one of its highlight thrill rides for its 10 loops, other signature rides include the Vekoma Booster-Bike, the quickest motorbike roller coaster which reaches 80 miles in just 2.8 seconds! There was the world largest giant Frisbee ride, and for the less faint-hearted, a Zamperla Kiddie Coaster and there was also an interesting and pretty large 4D theatre for the younger campers to enjoy.

The Park also features one of the most expensive stunt shows in the world (so they say!) called "Danger Island” which consists of mainly international stunt performers and is similar to that of a water world show previously seen elsewhere! A lot of our children seemed to like getting wet and many headed to the "Happy Water World" zones where there were items related to the theme of water including a nice Splash battle, shoot-the-chute and Rapid rides to name but a few.

We were also surprised to find that in late afternoon they had also put on a rather extravagant Chime-Long parade, which bare very similar resemblances to the Disney parades!

The park was definitely a must see and visit attraction for every theme park enthusiast and our kids thoroughly enjoyed riding and experiencing thrills on some of the most incredible and best looking rides any theme park in this region had to offer.

One couldn’t visit the Chime Long complex without making a visit to the world famous Xiangjiang Safari Park. On Sunday, after breakfast at the hotel, we then moved over to one of the best Safari Park’s in Asia, even if you weren’t great fans of zoos in general, this Safari park was certainly fun to visit with over 20,000 wild animals for you to see and the animals seemed to have a lot of space to run around, our kids came face to face with Giraffes, Koalas, Kangaroos, Elephants and our own beloved Pandas etc etc..and of course the famous while tigers, the symbol of the Chime Long Group and the Xiangjiang Safari had the largest white tiger collection in the world with nearly 70 of these animals. There was a delightful animal nursery and some of our brave campers were able to get really close to some cute baby white tigers by bottle-feeding them on their lap!

After spending two full days at the amazing Chime Long complex, it was time for us to set sail back home again to Hong Kong late Sunday afternoon. Yet again another successful and memorable Easter camp seemed to go by too quickly for many of the children, with some of them wanting to stay just a bit longer, maybe just for one extra day, they asked?!
