Fiesta Ethnic Day Camp
Camp Quality took a large group of
campers and companions on Saturday
25th February to the Kerry Lake Egret
Nature Park in Tai Po for a fun-filled
day camp.
The theme of this camp was multi-ethnic
learning combined with team building
activities so as to help our campers
advance their learning capabilities
and knowledge of other ethnic cultures
around the world.

The one day trip was designed to
take ethnic learning outdoors, allowing
the children and their companions
to learn and experience something
new and interesting, such as Palm
flax and leaf folding from the Polynesian
Island, ethnic handy-crafts from the
Hopi Indians and they also got to
try the hands at some primitive musical
instruments from various corners of
the world.

A variety of eye-opening experiences
of games and group competition from
various cultures of the world were
also on offer to entice our campers
to learn about the various ethnic
groups around the world.

The campers certainly got plenty
of activities and mental stimulation
with this multi-intelligence day camp
and it was also great fun for all
who attended.

The climax of the day was an alfresco
BBQ dinner, however due to the unsettled
weather we had to change it to an
indoor BBQ buffet! This didn’t
dampen the camper’s spirits
though since they all look forward
to spend some quality time together
with their companions away from the
hustle and bustle so typical of Hong
Kong.
