Peak
Tower Tour
Last Saturday, Camp Quality took
over 80 excited campers and companions
on a fun-filled day out to the Peak
and the new Peak Tower.
Everyone gathered bright and early
at the new Central Star Ferry Pier
for a short bus ride to the Peak Tram
Terminus. It was from here that our
fun started! Our journey to the top
of the Peak begun with a ride on the
historic Peak Tram, unfortunately,
due to bad weather, we couldn’t
see much of lovely Hong Kong skyline
but this did not dampen the kid’s
spirits.

Once we reached the top, everyone
was escorted to the new EA Games Experience.
This was a virtual games world where
our campers could live out their sporting
fantasy in their Virtual Sports zone
with computer interactive games such
as NBA live and Fifa 07. The campers
also got the opportunity to test their
skills & wit and experience exciting
thrills in the Speed Experience zone
with the latest racing car simulators.
Many of our campers has so much fun
there, it was hard to drag them away
when we had to leave! Our thanks goes
to Karen at EA Games for giving the
kids so much fun.

Just strolling around the new Peak
Tower, you could see there were plenty
of new food and beverage outlets,
some were locally recognized establishments
but there were also some unfamiliar
international- renowned imports too!
One of these was “Bubba Gump”

Camp Quality was very fortunate to
have the support of this new American
theme restaurant that kindly sponsored
a very delicious luncheon for everyone.
We were all very impress with the
theme of the restaurant, it was set
in a most lively and colourful setting
and there were plenty of movie memorabilia’s
from the film “Forest Gump”
displayed throughout the restaurant.
We all loved the American style restaurant’s
décor as well as all their
yummy food! Some campers & companions
were excited just having their photos
taken either inside the restaurant
or outside sitting on the famous bus
bench from the movie!! Special mention
and our heartfelt thanks goes to Mr.
Jeremy Lieberman, General Manager
at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co and his team
of wonderful staff for taking care
of us and feeding us all!

After lunch, it was time for the
kids to continue with some very close
encounters with the Stars as we moved
to Madame Tussauds.

The new Madame Tussauds was definitely
much bigger and better than the previous
with five new themed areas, providing
the opportunity for our campers and
companions to meet their idols and
heroes AND to be able to snuggle up
close to them!! Whether it’s
with canto pop king, Mr. Andy Lau
and Leon Lai or with the British Royal
Family and past American president,
Bill Clinton, the kids were able to
see them up very close and personal!
The attraction featured over 100 locally
and internationally celebrity wax
figures and it was a truly magical
day for all who attended!

Finally, Our thanks
goes out also to May Tsang of The
Peak Tower and of course to Martyn
and the rest of his team at The Peak
Tower for arranging this great day
out for the children.
