Wilderness
Adventure Camp
Last weekend, Camp Quality Hong
Kong, together with our associated
partner, "Wilderness Adventure"
conducted a special program for our
Camp Quality Children.

The Wilderness Program was split
into two groups. The first entitled
"Youth Adventure" was a
program for our teenagers who wanted
a taste of a "Wilderness Adventure"
experience.

The Sai Kung West Country Park provided
an ideal base for our participants
to experience independent living.
They had the opportunity to face challenges
whilst working in a close- knit group,
they had to share the responsibility
for their groups wellbeing whilst
weighing the consequences of other
teammates instructions! On the whole,
fun, learning about yourself and working
with others as well as preparing your
own meals!
Our second group, for our younger
campers was entitled "Fun in
the wild" was a less intensive
program for our younger kids. Here
the aim was for the younger campers
to have fun amongst other newer campers
in a fun and exciting outdoor environment
with activities planned for their
age group. It was hoped that they
would develop new friendships. With
the younger groups, we provided pack
lunch boxes rather than get them to
try their cooking skills! The "Fun
in the Wild" was run in a more
relaxed and fun-filled manner.
Numerous activities for the kids
throughout the day including, abseiling,
hill walking, rope courses and orienteering
to name but a few!

It was an exhausting day however,
all the campers felt proud at their
achievements and new acquired skills
and couldn't wait to tell their family
and friends!

We liked to thank all the volunteers
at the "Wilderness Adventure"
association who were all very friendly
and supportive of all our Camp Quality
kids on this camp!
